I sistemi a ciclo Rankine organico (ORC) sono stati installati in un sistema di teleriscaldamento centralizzato in Slovacchia come mezzo per aumentare l'efficienza in loco e generare energia pulita.<\/p>\n<p>Power+ di ElectraTherm genera energia senza combustibile e senza emissioni dal calore residuo a bassa temperatura. L'installazione di 10 macchine utilizza il calore di scarto di due turbine a gas Rolls Royce attraverso un ciclo combinato. I gas di scarico delle turbine passano attraverso un generatore di vapore a recupero di calore, mentre i gas di scarico a bassa temperatura che non possono essere utilizzati producono acqua calda per soddisfare la domanda di riscaldamento del sistema di teleriscaldamento del comune. Quando il vapore si espande, aziona il blocco di potenza a doppia vite brevettato da ElectraTherm, che fa girare un generatore elettrico e produce energia senza emissioni. Funzionando in parallelo, i generatori Power+ di Levice generano circa 500 kWe.<\/p>\n<p>Mentre le turbine a gas a ciclo combinato sono ampiamente utilizzate in tutta Europa per la produzione di energia e il teleriscaldamento, questa \u00e8 la prima applicazione di questo tipo a utilizzare la tecnologia ORC di ElectraTherm per il calore di scarto a bassa temperatura.
