Leads the Market in Fuel-Free, Emission-Free Power Generated from Low Temperature Waste Heat
Flowery Branch, Georgia – ElectraTherm, a leader in distributed, waste heat to power generation, surpassed 100 years of cumulative fleet runtime. ElectraTherm’s power generation fleet spans the globe with Power+ Generators in 10 countries focused on creating clean energy from a variety of low temperature heat streams. Applications range from internal combustion engines, combined heat and power, to low-temperature geothermal, biomass, and more. The 100-year mark is just one of several milestones over the past twelve months. Last fall, ElectraTherm completed its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant and test cell at BITZER US headquarters in Flowery Branch, Georgia. The plant boasts 50,000 square feet of the most advanced testing and manufacturing equipment to build, test and continue to develop its Power+ Generator®.
Other recent milestones include a second micro-geothermal installation at a hot spring in Japan, 10 new commissionings in the United Kingdom on biomass applications, and the recent partnership with the Navy for a shipboard waste heat to power demonstration on a small turbine at the US Naval Academy.
“ElectraTherm continues to push on the growing waste heat to power (WHP) market globally and our proven fleet experience is what sets us apart from others in this space,” said John Fox, ElectraTherm’s Managing Director. “We are averaging approximately a year of runtime hours every several weeks and exceeding one million hours for our entire fleet will be in the coming months. We are very proud to be part of the global BITZER network and are really focusing on how to expand market acceptance for WHP. It’s an exciting time for ORC technology and small-scale waste heat to power generation.”
