The PGFireBox combines Air Burners waste elimination capabilities with ElectraTherm’s technology for the first self-contained biomass power generator of its kind.
The PGFireBox is portable, fully self contained and eliminates wood waste without the burdensome need for chipping and grinding. The waste becomes the fuel, with no supplemental fuels needed to support combustion. The result is the lowest environmental impact possible in eliminating vegetative waste and the lowest cost method of disposal.

The PGFireBox does not require all the “waste pre-processing” typically associated with biomass energy, nor does wood waste need to be broken down. Whole logs, root balls and decayed wood waste all go in the PGFireBox. The result is significant cost and time savings, and without the heavy environmental impact also tied to wood processing.
The PGFireBox arrives self-contained in two units, the FireBox Module and the Power Module. The units are delivered to the site, integrated together, connected to a cooling source and the electrical grid, and ready to operate. The combination of the two units provides the clean disposal of tons of woody biomass waste per hour, in addition to renewable energy production. A much improved environmental impact is achieved due to the elimination of chipping, grinding and hauling the waste, plus reduced methane otherwise produced when woody biomass is land filled.
In developing countries or on islands, the PGFireBox could have a significant impact on the management and disposal of municipal solid waste (MSW) – the PGFireBox could become a very concentrated landfill site and eliminate the space requirements for MSW disposal and also provide electricity generation from the MSW stream.
